Resumen
En la búsqueda de demostrar la utilidad práctica de las ciencias sociales y humanidades (CSH) en diversos contextos, el presente trabajo plantea como objetivo definir las características de un modelo de transferencia de conocimiento (TC) en instituciones de educación superior de las CSH en relación con entidades sociales. Para ello, se realizó una investigación de tipo cualitativo, a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas y grupos focales con expertos, docentes y representantes de entidades sociales, de cuyo análisis de datos fue posible derivar una serie de rasgos sobre formas de ejecución de los procesos de TC, así como la caracterización de un modelo objetivo que propicie adecuadamente la TC para las CSH en relación con otras entidades sociales. Entre los elementos derivados de este modelo se encuentra el reconocimiento de los siguientes elementos: agente iniciador/receptor, identificación de proyectos, vinculación, definición e identificación de necesidades, incentivos y barreras, plan de actividades, evaluación y buenas prácticas.

Among his editorial experiences, Machin-Mastromatteo is the Associate Editor for the scientific journals Information Development (SAGE) and Digital Library Perspectives (Emerald), as well as an editorial board member for The Journal of Academic Librarianship (Elsevier). He published, from 2015 to 2020, the regular column Developing Latin America in Information Development. He is a peer reviewer for 17 scientific and indexed journals within the fields of information science and education, for which he has evaluated over 200 manuscripts.
